It's been awhile!

I seem to be very inconsistent with this blogging thing! Its been over a year since I posted on here! That's a failure on my part! I am now a college student (which is finally sinking in now that I'm almost done with my freshman year!) Can't wait for spring! and I'm going to be starting a new blog about the beef industry and talking about things happening and standing up for beef so check it out (still haven't thought of a title) ~Peaches

Christmas Vacation

Im back in Iowa now. :) Yesterday Clayton came over and he and I took the skidloader tires off and went to waverly tire and got new ones, we had to do them two at a time and had to take them off and put them back on all by hand. We used lots of WD-40 and worked together so neither of us got too tired. Last night I went to his house and gave him his Christmas presents. He got me a western flannel shirt, super comfy! and a Cabelas Sweatshirt :) today I made pan cookies and I work later.

Merry Christmas!

Its been awhile! I am now a senior in high school and can't wait to graduate! Its Christmas and I am spending it in Wisconsin with Mom's side of the family. We've been enjoying lots of snow :) I got a frame with all of my Herefords (except Strawberry) from Erica, a Hereford pin from Brody, and a maroon feed tub and bucket for Zeus :). Mom and Dad got me a pair of winter chore boots which are perfect. Zeus and Otis are my Hereford steers this year, we took Zeus to the Badger Kick-off in Milwaukee Wisconsin so we got to stay with Sam and Rich Awve (which was fabulous!). Clayton got me a gorgeous opal ring and a pocket knife (so far!) we've been together for over 6 months now, and I'm incredibly happy :) Yesterday M'Lynn, Erica and I made christmas cookies with Raelynn, which was SUPER FUN!! we made sugar cookies and frosted them and spicy christmas cut-outs but we didn't frost those. Last day of Junior year

Today I left school and when I return in August I will be a senior :) went in for the last day of finals. Had orchestra first, we did karaoke, which was hilarious and I just watched all the other crazy peeps sing some great songs. Then I went to Chemistry took a pretty easy semester test and tested our soap-it turned out great! Then I was outta there cause seniors and juniors don't have to show up for PE. I got home and danced around the kitchen I was so excited =]

Sunday

M'Lynn and Erica's graduation party was friday night, had a great turnout and great food! Saturday we had a graduation and Dad's old co-worker and her husband stopped. Today I took a two hour nap, which I desperately needed! tomorrow is the last day of school, I'm so ready for summer to actually start! thats all for now ~ Alecia

Bored during Semester Tests

So its friday, and Im completely bored at the moment. This past week has been pretty crazy! on Monday M'Lynn and I painted the front porch and I managed to get bit by some unknown insect that I had an allergic reaction to :P not happy about that.

Totally had to drag myself to school tuesday, casue it totally feels like summer. I was doing nothing in my classes anyway. But after school M'Lynn, Erica and I went shopping at Norbys and Wal-mart since it was my Daddy's birthday :) At wal-mart I found the freeze pops and convince M and E to let me get them, i was excited :) At Norbys we got my dad a lariat and a toy horse and cow to practice ;)

Wednesday was also quite interesting, I went to the doctor finally for the FLB (funny looking bump) that has been on my right hand for about a month. The doctor had no idea what is was, so in order to find out he cut it off and sent it to the lab. The cutting off process was pretty awesome, but I'll leave out the details. I now have a nice dent on my hand that is red from scabs.

Thursday was.....interesting. Had the FFA meeting and pizza party, first time in a year that I wasn't an officer, its gonna take some getting used to. Also took the german one final SUPER EXCITED about finally being done with that class :)

...and now its friday and Im sitting in AP gov bored out of my mind. This morning had to be at janesville to work on the learning garden at 7:30 for the Horticulture final. Got to destroy a grape vine and plant some flowers with some 5th graders, which were all very ready for summer and thankfully not afriad of the mud! good thing im not either cause it was quite muddy, it felt like I had an inch of mud on the bottom of my shoes. Math test was pretty easy, and I have spent a lot of time reading. I pretty much Aced the AP Gov test on personal finance.

well today is Friday, and that improves my mood instantly. Second day of block schedule in school. Had Orchestra first, which was epic cause we filmed our lip dup to SHOUT! Then had chemistry where we made soap...hopefully it turns out well :) For physical education we went fishing, which was a good time cause it was sunny and beautiful, plus I caught 7 fish :) German was the only drawback, cause we had to do boring worksheets. Still didn't ruin my mood tho. Excited for the three day weekend full of grad parties, a graduation ceremony, relatives, maybe get my legs a touch tanner and wash some cows :)
